Counselors
Camp Selah counselors are trained during a ten-day period in the areas of camper age group characteristics, counseling techniques, behavior management, evangelism, and water safety. They are responsible to oversee, guide, teach, pray for, love, play with, talk to, encourage, and influence around 8-10 campers 24/7 each week for about 2 months. A love for the Lord, a willing heart, and reliance on the work of the Holy Spirit make up an excellent foundation for a Camp Selah counselor. Much time is spent together in prayer and worship in order to prepare the staff to work together as a body of believers. Counselors receive $250 per week for seven weeks, have an hour of time off every day and a day and a half off every weekend. All meals and housing are also included.

Requirements: A Committed Christian Adult
Age: 18+
Preferably One Year or More of College or Work Experience

YSLs
Youth Servant Leaders
The Youth Servant Leadership (YSL) Program offers an opportunity for participants to grow in their knowledge of different life-skills as they assist in maintenance projects, assist counselors, have involvement in food service, dish-washing, program assistance and photo and video capture. Each week, YSLs will have a specific ministry focus which includes a different set of responsibilities. YSLs will also grow in knowledge of biblical principles specifically geared toward the program through in-depth Bible study, prayer, journaling and small group discussion.

Requirements: Committed Christian Teenager

Age: 15-18
Dates: May 10th YSL Orientation
June 5 - July 12, 2025 Summer Camp
July 14-19 Sr. High Week (YSLs are campers)

Support Staff
Camp Selah support staff include Head Lifeguard, Media Manager, & Summer Maintenance. They are responsible for assisting leadership staff, counselors, and YSLs in specific areas of the program and do a lot of behind-the-scenes work. Support staff receive $250 per week for seven weeks, have at least an hour of time off every day and a day & a half off every weekend. All meals and housing are also included.

Volunteer Staff
Camp Selah thrives on the generous support of many volunteers. Giving up one week out the year, these individuals play a crucial role in keeping the camp running smoothly.
This summer we need:

Kitchen Assistant - part time or full time assisting in food preparation and service, working under a head cook

Health Officer - full time, dispensing medication to campers and administering first aid as needed Certification required

Maintenance Work - various buildings and grounds projects, mowing or weed whacking

Age: 18+

Dates: Vary and are flexible. Come for a full week or serve for a day.
